How to cancel a PDF scanner subscription

A PDF scanner subscription stops in the store that charged you, not by deleting the app. Look at the line on the bank statement. Apple.com/bill, Google Play, or PayPal each has its own cancel path. After that, everyday paper still becomes a PDF in the RealScaner scanner: snap the page, mark the four edges, download. No account.

People search this after a $4.99–$59.99 trial renews, or after a “PDF Scanner” charge they do not recognize. The merchant name tells you which steps to follow.

Family Sharing on Apple: only the family organizer can cancel. On Android, confirm you are signed into the Google account that made the purchase.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the scanner app in the list.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. Scroll if the button sits under the plan details.

Red expiration text instead of a Cancel button means it is already set to end. You keep premium features until that date. On a Mac: System Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Manage next to Subscriptions.

Cancel on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select the PDF scanner subscription.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.

Samsung Galaxy Store purchases cancel under Galaxy Store → Receipts → Items → Unsubscribe. Cancel at least a day before renewal so the next cycle does not fire.

Cancel on PayPal

  1. Log in at paypal.com.
  2. Open Settings, then Payments, then Automatic payments (or Subscriptions and saved businesses).
  3. Find the merchant for the scanner app.
  4. Cancel the automatic payment.

Stopping PayPal billing does not always remove an in-app store subscription. If Apple or Google also shows the same plan, cancel there too.

Scan to PDF after you cancel

Put the sheet on a dark, plain table. Smooth wrinkles. Thin paper: slide a blank sheet underneath so the back does not ghost through.

  1. Open realscaner.com in Safari, Chrome, or Edge.
  2. Allow the camera, or import a photo. Leave a thin margin so all four corners stay in the frame.
  3. Mark the edges. Drag each corner onto the paper so a slightly angled shot still squares up.
  4. Add the next page from the thumbnail strip if the packet has more than one sheet.
  5. Download PDF. Open it and scroll it before you send it.

After the download

Open the PDF once. Look for a clipped signature, an upside-down page, and a blank back you did not mean to keep. If the order is wrong, drag pages in Organize PDF. Need a name on a signature line? Use the signature maker. Markup on a scan is a drawing, and a cryptographic digital signature is a separate, certificate-based step. Stamp a copy with Watermark PDF only when you want that mark. Add page numbers if the clerk asked for them. ID photos with a kilobyte cap can go through image compression after the crop.

Identity cards, notarized copies, and court filings still follow the office’s own rules. When a phone scan is good enough draws that line. Certified copies still belong on a hardware flatbed.

Common questions

How do I cancel a PDF scanner subscription?

Find who billed you. Apple.com/bill is Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Google Play is Play Store → profile → Payments and subscriptions. PayPal is Settings → Payments → Automatic payments. Uninstalling the app does not stop the charge.

Does deleting a scanner app cancel the subscription?

No. The store keeps billing until you cancel the subscription itself. Delete the app after the cancel button confirms, so a leftover icon does not send you back into a trial.

Do I need a paid scanner app to make a PDF?

No. Open RealScaner in the browser, snap or import the page, mark the four edges, and download PDF. There is no account and no subscription.

Will I get a refund after I cancel?

Stores usually keep access until the period you already paid for ends. Refunds follow Apple, Google, or the merchant’s own rules. Check the charge date and the store’s request form if the trial auto-renewed overnight.
