Practical guide

Convert HEIC photos to JPG without uploading them

iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC, a format many Windows apps, upload forms, and older programs still cannot open. This converter turns HEIC and HEIF photos into ordinary JPG, PNG, or PDF files inside your browser, so personal photos never leave your device.

Open HEIC files on Windows 10 and 11 without an app

Windows often needs a paid HEVC extension before Photos can show HEIC images. Converting to JPG avoids that step. Drop the photos copied from your iPhone into this page and download JPG files that open in any viewer, editor, email client, or upload form.

Convert HEIC to JPG without losing visible quality

JPG is lossy, so choose High quality at 95 percent when detail matters most, Standard for everyday sharing, or Smaller file for email. Choose PNG when you need lossless output, knowing PNG files are several times larger. Photos keep their full resolution and correct rotation.

Batch convert HEIC to JPG or one PDF with no daily limit

Add up to 50 photos per batch and convert again as often as you like, with no account, watermark, or daily cap. Pick PDF to combine the photos into one document with one photo per page, sized to each photo or fitted on A4 or US Letter pages.

Common questions

Practical answers about privacy, formats, and output quality.

Are my HEIC photos uploaded?

No. Reading, decoding, converting, building the ZIP or PDF, and downloading all happen in your browser tab. RealScaner never receives your photos. If your browser cannot open HEIC itself, a decoder file loads once from this site, not from a third party.

Does converting remove GPS location from iPhone photos?

Yes, by default. Converted files contain no photo metadata, so GPS location, camera details, and capture time are removed. For JPG output you can choose to keep the date and camera details without location, or keep everything including location.

Can I convert HEIC to JPG without losing quality?

JPG always uses lossy compression, but High quality at 95 percent is visually close to the original for most photos. Every photo keeps its full resolution and correct rotation. Choose PNG for lossless output, which makes much larger files.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows 10?

Open this page in Edge, Chrome, or Firefox, drop the HEIC files copied from your iPhone, and select Convert photos. No Windows app or paid HEVC extension is needed, because the decoding runs inside the browser.

Is there a limit on how many photos I can convert?

Each batch holds up to 50 photos of up to 100 MB each, and there is no daily limit, account, or watermark. Several photos download as one ZIP file. Very large batches show a memory warning because phones have less memory than computers.

Can I convert HEIC to PDF?

Yes. Choose PDF as the output to combine every photo in the batch into one PDF with one photo per page. Pages can match each photo or fit it on A4 or US Letter with a margin. For a HEIC file that holds several images, the main photo is used.
